Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has submitted his evidence to the Senate ahead of an impeachment hearing on Wednesday.
The DP, through his handlers, presented several cartons of documents in line with directions issued by speaker Amason Kingi. Kingi had directed Gachagua and his accusers, the National Assembly, to submit their evidence by 5 pm, Monday.
The National Assembly is also set to submit their documents before the deadline.
Gachagua’s documents have been submitted by lawyers George Sakimpa and Eric Naibei.
The National Assembly has loaded two pickups with documents but they’re yet to be submitted to the Senate.
The pickups are still parked at the National Assembly entrance.
