Kidnapped Kiambaa MP aspirant found safe in Singalo forest

An aspirant for Kiambaa constituency in Kiambu county John Njuguna who was allegedly hijacked in Nairobi was today morning found safe and sound at a forest in Uasin Gishu County where he was dumped.

Njuguna was spotted by the locals at Singalo forest near Burnt Forest where the alleged kidnappers dumped him after stripping him naked. The matter was later reported to Eldoret Police Station and recorded under OB/05/04/2021.

Njuguna told the press at the Uasin Gishu county assembly grounds on Thursday that he was hijacked by the kidnappers who identified themselves as police officers at around 4.00 pm and drove him all the way to Burnt Forest.

“They stripped me naked and took away all my valuables including Sh 180,000 before abandoning me in the forest,” claimed a feasibly shocked Njuguna who thanked God for ‘saving his life’.

He said he suspected his kidnapping is linked to a planned meeting Deputy President William Ruto is scheduled to hold with Boda Boda Sacco members during a planned visit to Kiambaa on February 12.

Njuguna who said he was one of the organisers of the visit claimed he was warned against holding the meeting in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s backyard.
