President William Ruto on Sunday joined other Christian faithful for a church service at Eldoret AIC Fellowship church.
This is after he jetted back to the country from his international visits to Ghana and Guinea Bissau.
Ruto was joined by First Lady Rachel Ruto and Uasin Gishu Senator Jackson Mandago among other leaders.
While attending the service in Eldoret, Ruto asked striking doctors to resume work and accept what the government has offered to hire intern doctors.
Ruto emphasized that doctors need to realize that the country doesn’t have the resources to raise wages for its workers.
He stressed that the county must manage within its available resources instead of resorting to borrowing to pay wages.
Ruto departed the country on Tuesday for an official visit to the two West Africa states.
This was Ruto’s first visit to Ghana since he took over the presidency in September 2022.
During his visits, the Head of State held talks with Presidents Nana Akufo-Addo of Ghana and Umaro Sissoco Embaló of Guinea-Bissau.
The aim was to strengthen diplomatic, trade cooperation, and historical ties between Kenya and the two West African nations.
