Renowned actress Minne Kariuki has candidly shared her emotional journey, from the heartbreak of losing her unborn child in 2023 to the joy of expecting again.
Minne, who is currently pregnant, expressed a mix of emotions upon learning about her pregnancy, following the heartbreaking loss the previous year.
“I was elated but I was very nervous because, you know, the first three months are the most crucial ones. And I lost my child last year when the baby was nine weeks old. So I would say it was just mixed feelings. I was happy, but still very nervous,” she revealed.
Minne is married to businessman Charles Muigai, also known as Lugz Kenya.
Together, they are eagerly anticipating the arrival of their third child, whom they affectionately refer to as their “miracle baby.”
The couple announced the joyous news on Valentine’s Day through a heartwarming video posted on their Instagram accounts.
Set against the backdrop of a picturesque beach in Zanzibar, the video captures intimate moments of Minne and Charles strolling hand in hand along the shore. In a touching scene, Charles is seen tenderly kissing Minne’s noticeable baby bump.
Taking to Instagram to express their happiness and gratitude, Minne captioned the video with heartfelt words:
“Happy anniversary to us @lugzkenya We are expecting our rainbow baby. We are thankful, overjoyed, grateful and blessed. We have been praying, fasting and God has answered our prayer.”
Her message not only celebrated their joy but also extended an encouraging hand to others waiting for their miracles.
Despite experiencing the heartbreaking loss of her child, Minne reflected on the success she achieved throughout 2023 by starring in two concurrently running shows in Kenya, “Single Kiasi” and “The Real Housewives of Nairobi.”
Describing it as a blessing, Minne revealed that she auditioned for “Single Kiasi” at a time when she was on the verge of giving up on her acting career.
However, taking that opportunity turned out to be the best decision she ever made.
She emphasised the remarkable success of “Single Kiasi,” which has become one of the most-watched shows on Showmax.
Regarding her role in “The Real Housewives of Nairobi,” Minne highlighted the importance of authenticity in a reality show, stating that stardom comes from knowing one’s worth and staying true to oneself.
Expressing gratitude for being part of these two significant shows, Minne credited her success to listening to God and trusting her inner voice.
She encouraged others not to give up on themselves, emphasizing that taking bold steps and persevering can lead to great outcomes.
