Tanzanians are over the moon after spotting a souped-up matatu that pays tribute to former president John Magufuli.
Popularly known as nganya in Kenya, the chromed-out matatu features full-size airbrushed portraits of the late Magufuli.
Boasting a yellow hue and a splash of primary colors in Tanzania’s flag, the matatu also pays homage to Magufuli’s Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) party.
CCM’s hammer and jembe logo features prominently alongside Tanzania telephone code +255 and Magufuli’s slogan “hapa kazi tu”
According to Tanzanians who watched the clip of the nganya, the ode to Magufuli and the ruling party through art was a perfect tribute.
