UDA second round of grassroots election kicks off in Homa Bay

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party is conducting its second phase of grassroots election in all the 40 wards within Homa Bay County today (Saturday).

This is after the grassroots election of party delegates from the polling station which was conducted in the region on 24th April 2024.

Today’s election targets the party officials who will represent all the 40 wards in the eight constituencies of Homa Bay County.

By yesterday preparations had been completed for the second round of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party elections which kicked off from 6:30am.

The 20 delegates from the polling centers totaling to 17,500 delegates who were elected during the grassroot polls last month will participate in today’s polls and elect a total of 800 delegates from the wards

UDA Nyanza region coordinator Aggrey Otore says the polls will happen in particular centre in each of the 40 wards and that security arrangements have adequately been put in place to ensure the polls run smoothly on Saturday once they kick off.
