Kenyan tycoon Narendra Raval says William Ruto should serve as Kenya’s president for over 25 years.
The industrialist and philanthropist of Indian Gujarati origin, who serves as the executive chairman of Devki Group, on Monday labelled Ruto a passionate leader who loves Kenya and whom he cannot find the right words to thank.
“He loves this country so much that I do not have words to thank him. [May] God give him 100 years of life. I wish we have this president for at least 25 years; we will change this country,” the tycoon said.
The 62-year-old steel and cement tycoon was speaking during the commissioning of the Cemtech Limited clinker plant in West Pokot, where President Ruto was in attendance.
Pokot South MP David Pkosing in his speech after the businessman endorsed the call for a 25-year Ruto administration. He said, “Let us change the constitution, what’s the problem?”
Cemtech Limited, a Devki Group subsidiary, owns the Ksh.45 billion clinker plant.
The factory is based in Kipkomo and is set to produce a daily estimate of 6,000 metric tons of clinker, which is a key component in cement manufacture.
It is expected to produce two million tons of clinker a year, enough to supply the whole of East Africa.
