Kalonzo accuses Kenya Kwanza of sabotage in implementation of NADCO report

Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka and his DAP-K counterpart Eugene Wamalwa have accused the Kenya Kwanza administration of dishonesty in the implementation of the National Dialogue Committee Report (NADCO).

Speaking in Kwale county on Saturday, the two Azimio la Umoja leaders said the Friday ruling by a Kiambu court that stopped the implementation of the report was sponsored by President William Ruto’s administration.

“Yesterday’s High Court orders stopping the implementation of the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) Report is State Sponsored. This is a deliberate scheme to go against what was agreed on at the Bomas of Kenya. The Kenya Kwanza regime has never had goodwill and faith and this is the problem in Kenya; the politics of lies all the time. This State Sponsored court action must stop,” Kalonzo said.

He further said the orders granted by the court amounted to mischief and attempts to frustrate the process.

The Wiper Party boss said the move is deliberate to go against the agreements made at the Bomas of Kenya accusing the government side of lack of goodwill.

“It appears to us that there is a lack of goodwill from our friends in Kenya Kwanza to have this process go through.”

On his part Wamalwa said Kenya Kwanza is not keen on auditing the electoral process as enshrined in the report.

“They have gone to court to oppose the biggest issue, audit of elections. We suspect there is a state-sponsored move to scuttle the process,” Wamalwa said.

The high court in Kiambu on Friday granted orders seeking to bar the national assembly and the senate from proceeding with the process of debating and adopting the NADCO report pending the hearing and determination of the case filed by activist Michael Muchemi.

Kalonzo has now called on Ruto and Azimio Leader Raila Odinga to take charge so that the report does not go to waste.
