Former Tanzanian musician Vanessa Mdee has been forced to defend her relationship with American musician Rotimi after fans called her out for abandoning her music career and relocating to the US to support Rotimi.
This comes after a fan commented on her post detailing she felt pity for the mother of 2 as Vanessa had given up her career for a man who didn’t respect her enough to even wife her up. The fan added that Vanessa is there for a man who has no problem cheating on her.
In response, Vanessa said she had no problem supporting her man and she does it with so much joy. She added that she has no regrets about standing for what she loves.
“Girl the fact that you quit your career to be this dude’s hype man and he won’t even marry you is heartbreaking for real. I hope you find your way back to what you love… You completely gave yourself up for him,” said the fan.
“I will gladly support my husband and gladly raise our children, To top it off, I will gladly stand for what I love, my sister’s life is not social media. PS: The royalty checks still coming in…” said Vanessa.
Currently, the couple is residing in Atlanta and feels more assured than ever that their relationship was meant to be.
