A video of a woman surprising her mother by returning home unannounced from Australia has warmed hearts on social media.

Shared on TikTok by Mildred Maiyo, the video was captured when her sister sweetly surprised her mother in Uasin Gishu County.
In the video, their shocked mother is first to rush to her daughter’s arms while ululating in joy as soon as she alights from the car.
Her Mzungu partner, who also alights but momentarily hangs back alongside their niece, is heartily welcomed and taken through a round of handshakes and hugs.
The secret visit was executed in a coordinated entry via Eldoret International Airport and a short drive to the home.
According to netizens, the visit was the sweetest and most emotional family reunion of the year thus far.
